Paul Hurley captured the red lights in a diagonal formation hovering above his back yard in Whippany.
“A little scary. We didn’t really know what they were. They were very bright red lights,” Hurley said. “I’ve been in the aviation industry for about 20 years, so I knew they weren’t airplanes.”
People outside a Morristown sports arena also saw the lights. Some even called police and local media outlets.
“It didn’t seem to be moving at all. It was very distinct, very distinct. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Jason Ragel said. “New Jersey’s like the melting pot of the world. So, I guess if it’s time for UFOs, if they’re coming, they might as well come here first.”
“It was kind of strange, just that they looked very like, in a formation, that they had a purpose,” Kelly Kaminski said.
Local police said the spectacle might have been a helium balloon with flares attached to it. However, there is not yet an official explanation for the lights.

its been seen 2 additional times and almost everyone at the high school has seen it. the third time there was a sighting, there was a 4.0 “earthquake” in morris plains, which is a neighboring town of whippany.

My point was that uming anything is of ET origin is premature without more evidence than an uneducated estimation of current technological development and deployment and some lights in the sky. Could be a private enterprise, etc., etc., etc. That’s all I’m saying. Could be from inner-space for all we know. Terranauts instead of Astronauts.

No one has any …
No one has any reason to ume that a UFO they see is ET in origin. It is ridiculous for the average observer to ume that they are aware of what advanced technologies are being utilized by the military and governments of the world at any given time. There is no doubt that advanced observation drones, blimps, and other uncommon aerial platforms are in heavy use by various government agencies and departments and that there is an effort to obscure this fact.
