I like all the design details like the knit collar, the center back button on the shoulder flap and the lighter topstitching on the seams. The way it is constructed would be slenderizing, too. Besides, as popular as plaid is right now, solid color coats will look better with far more outfits. I put a link to a really trendy military style coat that comes in red and has a fabulous toasty warm high collar. It is also a style that you could wear chunky cardigans under without feeling like a little sausage. I love to wear red coats since they always put me in a happy, confident mood when everything is cold and snowy outside.
