Nike zoom series ?

and how would you guys compare and1 shoes and Nike outdoor bball shoes?

I say you should go to a local store, finishline, footlocker, whatever. just tell the sales person you are looking for basketball shoes, but not sure what to get. (no, you are not trying to ask opinions from the sales person, you are trying to tell him that , you might try few more pairs before you decide which one to get ) ..

choose the ones you think look the best. then try them on, pick the most comfortable pair (if necessary, take price into consideration too).. our feet are all different. there are no correct answers or recommendations on what shoes are good. after all , i think the outlook is very important.

AND 1 Compare to Nike? you will get different answers, so why bother? just go try them on! good luck and have fun!

Hi, Im 12 years old (2009) and i like to play basketball,but im overweight, height – 147cm weight – 63kg (138lbs) and im starting to go on a diet, but when i play basketball (fav sports) my knee always hurts after playing (somewhere at the back and front, and sometimes it hurts somewhere above the ankle) and im using And1 basketball shoes (3/4 basketball shoes)

I will get a new basketball shoes, a high top one (not 3/4 but a full one) and will a high top (full) basketball shoes help and will buying a knee support/braces help too?

And also, if i get a basketball shoes, im thinking of getting a Nike basketball shoes or maybe Converse basketball shoes, any other brand recommendation or which is not a good basketball shoes for overweight people?

btw, what i meant by (full) means a high top basketball covering my whole ankle.

btw, how do i check for bad arch support? i will know it when i try it right?

im not sure if it will reduce the pain. I know it hurts because i recently had knee pains. Wearing the knee support will help a little bit but im not sure if it will remarkably heal the pain. The same with braces. check the shoes your wearing though. Shoes with bad arch support mess with some tendons in the back of your foot which are directly connected to your knees so check out your shoes

I dOnt know shoes I should get to play basketball in. Should I get the Nike Hyperizes Or should I get the And1 Tai Chi.

For casual wear, depends on the colorway, but, I would go with the Hyperizes for actually playing basketball.

I think some of and1’s shoes r weird.. but some r really cool also

I have AND1 basketball shoes and ever since I started wearing them my ankles started hurting. Is this because of the shoe brand or just some freak thing happening with my ankles? I started wearing them in August for a basketball camp, I didn’t notice it as much then because I thought it was just going to go away. But now as I start the basketball season I realized the pain wasn’t going away. Any help?
Also if you could please leave me suggestions for a better pair. btw I’m a girl. womens size 7 or 7.5

no sry you might just have to buy some new basketball shoes. And1s usally dont have grip or stablility. If I were you I would invest in some sharkleys

I am moving across the world in 7 weeks to Jerusalem. I can bring 2 bags (70 lbs or less each and l+w+h < 62") and 1 carry-on and1 personal item. The weather ranges from the low 60’s up to 100 degrees F. I plan to ship or buy new fall/winter clothing when the time comes.

I am bringing a huge duffle, large backpacking backpack, backpack, and small carry on. I want to fit: clothing, 2 extra pairs of shoes (besides the ones I am wearing), flip-flops, toiletries & some full-sized toiletry items (that they don’t sell over there), (beach & bath) towels, blanket, iron gym pull-up bar (dis-assembled), 13" laptop, small SLR camera, phone, several folders of documents, 2 or 3 books.

Will it fit? What would you bring?
Oh yeah, suppose I will bring my passport as well.

It will all fit but you may have to unpack and repack a few times to get it the way you want it.

I’ve asked some other questions about what bball shoes i should get before but i’ve had a wide variety of answers, alot of stupid ones, like ‘they dont help u on ur game’ and saying stuff like that. I need adults bball shoes because im looking for size 9 or 10s. I want ones that aren’t too expensive and that are good for jumping and stuff.

The shoes i’ve narrowed it down to are:
Nike Hyperdunk $110
AND1 Jumpstart Mid $90
Nike Shox BB4 $138
Nike Zoom Kobe IV $120
Jordan Melo 1.5 $100/$120
Protege A3H $35
Nike Shox Leapers $60

These are the ones that i’ve found that are best suited to me so far and look good… Could You please give me advice on which ones to choose and if those prices are correct..and also where can you buy them? Im in Australia btw. Thanks VERY much in advance!!
i no basktball shoes dont help u with ur game but it helps instead of wearing dunlop volleys where u can hurt ur ankle in them and the bottom of ur foot because of the bad sole, i just want a good shoes that will prevent that but also has the extra features like good lift and extra support and stuff…ok?

So all this simply my opinion but i have played a ton of bball and do consider myself something of a sneaker head so…. I would start by eleminating the and 1’s and the protege’s. I have never liked And 1’s much but thats just my opinion. Although to be fair the jumpstarts are my fav and 1. The melos are ok. Nothing speacial but still pretty nice shoes. So if we are down to the nikes, i would knock out both the shoxs. Ill admit that they do look kinda cool but the shocks themselves are nothing more than unneccissary plastic, which makes them heavy. If im picking from this list, its down to hyperdunks or kobes. Both are excellant shoes. Both are exceptionally light, technically the kobs are lighter but by so little it doesnt matter… As i said, both are great shoes, but the kobes are low cut while the hyperdunks are pretty high. I guess this comes down to personal preferenve but no matter what anyone says, higher cut shoes always offer more ankle protection than lower ones. The only reason kobe plays in low cuts is because he tapes his ankles everyday. If you are prepared to do this/ ankle braces then i say do the kobes. but if you are lazy like me, do the hyperdunks. And judging by your question and the fact that you are asking, it doent seem like you are playing incredibly seriously(like collage level or something).
Go with the Hyperdunks. They are popular and it may seem like everyone has them but its for a good reason.

Some high school basketball teams have Nike footwear for their team. Some high Adidas footwear for their team. Other teams have other brands of footwear like Reebok or And1. Why do different teams have different brands? Is it the coach’s decision? How does a high school basketball coach make a decision about what shoes to get from each brand (for example, if he were to get Nike footwear, how would he go about choosing what specific shoe for their team (i.e. Nike Air Zoom Huarache TB))?

Nike is the best basketball shoe u can get……um.. usually the players or some1 pick what shoes that they want the team to get!
